How to apply a glitter gradient over your hair

-Prep your hair so that applying glitter is the final step to your look, just like adding the final sprinkling of icing sugar over a cake.

-We slicked Ziver's hair back into a sleek low pony, and used a thicker brush to apply our glitter fix gel for a wider coverage (we used a foundation brush, you can also use a hair dye applicator style brush.)

-Apply your disco glue or hair gel to the area of hair you'd like your glitter to go, we liked the idea of creating a gradient from Ziver's centre parting so made a halo shape making downward strokes starting from the parting to around 2-3inches out.

-Dab the brush straight into the glitter so that it collects when it sticks to the residue of the gel before applying over the hair in the same way we applied the gel.

-Using the fine black glitter here first we made a dense base layer all the way around fading out to our 2-3 inch layer where the gel finishes.

-We then repeated the steps applying the extra chunky glitter over the base layer starting from the parting making strokes to around 1inch out applying more gel where nessecary.

-If your mixing colours for this, clean your brush between colours to avoid cross-contaminating.

-Build up colours/density but allow for gel to dry between layers.

-Set with hair spray.

-Remove glitter from your hair using shampoo and warm water.
